The Australasian Utilities Revenue Protection Association is a non profit organisation formed by the industry for the industry to promote Revenue Protection awareness for utility companies, with its focus on maximising profits and minimising losses for member organisations.

A.U.R.P.A.’s specific objectives are the promotion and implementation of Revenue Protection strategies to ensure:

• Activities of member organisations are properly scrutinised for losses or potential losses and all energy is accurately accounted for.
• Revenue Protection activities which significantly improve financial performance for the business are carried out in the most cost effective manner.
• Promotion, establishment and maintenance of pro-active Revenue Protection policies.
• Identification and response to all potential revenue risks including errors and omissions, equipment failure and illegal activities.
• Promotion of adequate training of all relevant staff, contractors and outside authorities in the necessary skills to recognise and deal with Revenue Protection issues and so provide a safer environment.
• Maximum customer satisfaction and retention.
• Creation of awareness of Revenue Protection issues in both industry and the public media.
• Development of means of monitoring and measuring the benefit of Revenue Protection programs.
• Interaction with and support of Product Vendors to improve security of metering equipment and installations.

A.U.R.P.A. promotes the truism that all parties involved will benefit by the implementation of an effective Revenue Protection Plan.
